Please join the Westmoreland Congregational United Church of Christ Middle East Committee on Sunday, August 5 after church for a special talk given by Mohammed Eid, a 28-year-old Palestine refugee, who grew up in Rafah camp in the Gaza Strip, where the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) provides services.
Mohammed is currently a Rotary Peace Scholar pursuing a master's degree in Global Studies and International Development through a joint program at UNC and Duke. During this talk, Mohammed will share his story of what life is like living and growing up in Gaza and the role UNRWA played in his life.
The talk will be held in the Westmoreland Church's parlor room. This event is free and open to the public.
