This is a unique opportunity for a creative communications pro who is passionate about issues facing refugees and the Middle East, to connect Americans with UNRWA USA’s mission.
What you’ll do:
Implement the organization's individual fundraising, education, and advocacy strategies, as led by the Director of Communications, in order to meet annual strategic goals;
Use creativity and resourcefulness to create, curate, and manage on-trend content (images, video, and written) and be the voice for UNRWA USA across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and LinkedIn;
Run sponsored social media and Google ads to drive traffic and measure ROI using Google Analytics;
Actively listen to and engage with social media followers to grow our community of supporters and influencers in the United States;
Track and report key performance indicators and analytics for all online activities and engagement;
Fully develop and manage all annual fundraising campaigns under the supervision of the Director of Communications;
Research and write compelling education and advocacy emails to harmonize with fundraising and stewardship communications;
Research, write, and format media advisories, press releases, one-pagers, quarterly and annual reports;
Develop, maintain, and update content for organization’s website and online fundraising platform;
Manage the the Voices of UNRWA blog;
Coordinate marketing and communications for all events from social media to printed collateral;
Assist with stewardship activities.

You have at least 4-6 years work experience in communications (writing, design, social media) and fundraising;
You're up-to-date on current trends and technologies;
You have a strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), HTML, and Salesforce;
You have at least a BA/BS in a related field;
You’re willing and have the ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
Skill we’d like you to have (not required):
A strong understanding of UNRWA’s work and the situation for Palestine refugees;
Experience working with the Arab American community.
