Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm (1-hour paid lunch). Some evenings/weekends to occasionally support events and fundraising initiatives

UNRWA USA National Committee (UNRWA USA) seeks a highly organized, results-oriented self-starter to join our dynamic fundraising team as a Development Assistant. This DMV-based helps power the fundraising efforts behind our work with Palestine refugees.
What you'll do:
You’ll be the go-to person for keeping our fundraising systems running smoothly. That means handling donations, managing our donor database, sending out thank-you notes and tax receipts, helping plan events, and keeping things organized. You’ll also help the team stay on track by producing reports, answering donor questions, and supporting campaigns and mailings.
Running our annual giving program: Handle donations, data entry, donor communications, reports, and other admin tasks to keep things on track.
Keep our donor data clean and useful: Maintain and improve our Salesforce database to support smarter fundraising.
Acknowledging donors: Send timely, personalized thank-you notes and tax receipts.
Reporting: Provide helpful donor reports to guide strategy and track progress.
Events and campaign support: Assist with planning events, coordinating projects, managing shipments, and tracking expenses.
Serve as a key point of contact: Respond professionally and knowledgeably to internal and external inquiries regarding supporting UNRWA USA.

You’re organized, detail-oriented, and a great communicator

You’ve used a CRM like Salesforce before (or you’re excited to learn)
You’re good at juggling multiple tasks and working on a deadline
You’re comfortable with Google Drive, Excel, and Word
Bonus: You understand basic accounting/bookkeeping (but it’s not required)
