who are unrwa usa volunteers?
UNRWA USA volunteers are socially conscious individuals who dedicate a specified amount of their time to educating their communities and the broader American public about Palestine refugees and UNRWA’s work, advocating for Palestine refugees, and fundraising so UNRWA can continue providing critical services on the ground.
Volunteers are based in the United States and 18 years of age or older.

Do you have a group of friends, colleagues, or community that you want to engage with about Palestine refugees and/or UNRWA?
It could be that they want to learn more, or they’re already familiar with the cause and want to do their part. If so, be an Events Volunteer!
The Gaza 5K is our signature event and comes to cities around the US. Are you located in or near DC, NYC, San Francisco, Houston, or Chicago and want to go above and beyond showing up on race day? Volunteers are an integral part of the 5Ks, providing logistical and outreach support.
Estimated time commitment: 8-10 hours spread out over 10-12 weeks.
Is social media as a way to promote causes you’re passionate about, or to educate your networks about important issues? Educate Americans about Palestine refugees, UNRWA’s work, and most importantly, showing Palestine refugees that Americans care! Social media volunteers must be currently active on at least two social media sites and have at least 150 followers on each. Estimated time commitment: 1-2 hours per week.
