Bay Area, after three years, the UNRWA USA Gaza 5K is returning!
Though separated by oceans, the Bay Area and Gaza are both coastal regions that share an identity shaped by the sea—and a human right to live free from constant distress.
For years, the Bay Area Gaza 5K has brought thousands of people together to stand with Palestine refugees. You've walked, run, fundraised, and shown Palestine refugees that Americans care. Now, for the first time since 2023, we're coming together once again.
On Sunday, September 13, join us at Lake Merced Park to walk, run, fundraise, and stand in solidarity with Palestine refugees.
The Gaza 5K is more than a walk/run. It's a day to celebrate Palestinian culture, build community, and take meaningful action for the children of Gaza.
For this year's Bay Area Gaza 5K, our goal is to raise $500,000 to support UNRWA mental health counselors in the Gaza Strip, helping Palestine refugee children access critical trauma support and counseling.
Whether you walk, run, cheer from the sidelines, or join virtually, your participation matters. If you're looking to make the biggest impact, start a fundraiser and help bring hope to children who need it most.
