5 Fundraising tips
If you’ve decided that you want to create a fundraiser, here are five tips to make sure it is as successful as it possibly can be!
1. Personalize your page and your asks
Customize your fundraising page with your photo and the reasons why you care about the cause. When you call, email, or text friends and family, avoid generic messaging so people understand what you’re fundraising for and so your passion for the cause shines through!
2. Make the first donation
Be the first to donate to your fundraising page. Your community will be much more inclined to get involved when they see that you’ve personally backed the campaign with its first gift!
3. Encourage donations with a match
Inspire more donations by offering to making a personal donation ($1-3) for each person who donates to your campaign. Alternatively, see if your employer will match your donations to double your impact!
4. Spread the word
Discuss your fundraiser with your friends, family, colleagues, and classmates. Put your fundraising link in your email signature, Instagram bio, or event invitations. 5. Fundraise with a partner or as a team
Team up with friends, family, colleagues, or a community group you’re a part of to create a fundraising page with one shared goal. Teamwork makes the dream work, and there is power in numbers. The more people you have dedicated to your efforts, the more likely you are to achieve your goals!
